What is
ABR®?
The
Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®)
designation is the benchmark of excellence in
buyer representation. This coveted
designation is awarded to real estate
practitioners by the Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT
Council (REBAC) of the National
Association of REALTORS® who meet the
specified educational and practical experience
criteria.
Why
should you look for the ABR designation before
looking for a home? These three letters after a
REALTOR's name tell you that you will be working
with buyer representative who is committed
to your best interests. The ABR
Designation is awarded by REBAC to those
REALTORS who have met the specific educational
and experiential criteria needed to
provide the high level quality service required
by REBAC (Real Estate BUYER'S AGENT Council).
What is an e-PRO?
An e-Pro is a REALTOR who has successfully
completed the e-Pro training program for real
estate professionals. Endorsed by the
National Association of REALTORS, the e-Pro
course teaches professionals the nuts and bolts
of working with real estate on-line: Web
sites, email, on-line tools, and most of all,
what today's Internet-savvy consumer really
wants.
Only 1% of all REALTORS in the United
States have achieved this coveted professional
designation.
Should You Use an e-Pro?
YES--especially if you're an Internet
user. In this fast-paced age, technology
has become a necessity. An e-Pro is
someone who has recognized and responded to the
needs of the New Consumer. If you choose
and e-Pro, it's a safe bet you'll get the kind
of service you want--and need.

What's
A Broker-Associate?
All real estate
agents are required to be licensed by the Missouri
Real Estate Commission. MOST real estate
agents are licensed as "Salespersons"
(as of December 6, 2006, there were 27,634
licensed Salespersons in Missouri). Some
real estate professionals (like me) have chosen to obtain
their Broker-Associate license through
additional education, study and advanced testing. (As
of December 6, 2006, there were only 1,689
Broker-Salespersons licensed in Missouri).
